Kazungula Campus
Kazungula campus
The Kazungula campus is situated within the Kazungula town Council area, at six kilometers from the Zambezi River and the Kazungula border post. The Kazungula town is five kilometers from Mambova town, which used to be the docking area for Zambezi River Transport badges. This transport operated between Sesheke and Mambova, which is south most navigable place on the Zambezi. During the fifties, this was the only means of transport between Western Province and Livingstone then. The transport was used by laborers recruited to go and work in the gold mines of South Africa.
This Campus will house the Schools of Energy and Environment Engineering and the Agriculture and food Technologies. It will also host the University stadium with other recreational facilities, a conference facility and hotel for conference participation.
